Photograph for Narrative

I took this photograph during the first shoot in preparation for the burning scene.
I edited it on photoshop, making it black and white and adding a metallic effect and noise.
This will hopefully aid the meaning of the narrative by showing the problematic relationship between the two actors. It will also be used to initiate the 'parallell timeline' through a clip of the photograph burning in reverse.

Further Editing

I began to ad effects to some of my clips in preparation for my second rough cut. This mainly consisted of changing the brightness and contrast of some clips and adding a black and white section. I also decided to include a black and white section with a fade into colour which took me some time to work out how it would work. I also added some new footage to the beginning of the video and filled in some of the gaps.
The gaps that remain are for a small section of the narrative section that I have left to include. I didn't intend to have so many but I decided I would have to try and draw attention away from the drummer because his performance wasn't very believable.

Rough Cut

This is the rough cut of my music video. The majority of the narrative section is included, I only have a few little things left to film which I have already planned. The performance section still needs a lot of work. I think I have filmed everything I need to for it, I just need to edit my footage and select the best takes.

Editing

These are some screenshots showing the editing process of narrative section. It didn't take as long as I had anticipated to sync the clips with the music which gave me time to create the final frame on photoshop.

Second Test Footage

I re-shot the narrative section using a Nikon D3100. These clips were a much higher quality than the previous and I also had the experience of filming before which meant that this shoot was a lot more productive and I knew exactly what I needed to film and how to get it done.

Test Footage

I feel that, although filming went well and I got all of the necessary shots, the quality of the clips isn't as good as I would have hoped. I think lots of the shots were really dark, despite having several sources of light and some of the faster motion appears blurred and creates lines and tears in the video. I don't feel that this would be adequate for my music video.
I therefore decided I would re-shoot these scenes using a different camera
