Peer Focus Group Feedback

I am very pleased with the feedback I received.

My mise-en-scene was considered very good. The locations I used were very conventional and the costumes were stereotypical of the genre. There were a couple of gaps in the rough cut, which were mentioned, but I have already started the process of filling them in for the final video.

The actors’ performance was generally well received, with the editing being in sync. However, there were some comments about the drummer not matching at all with the music. This is a problem that I tried to work around by cutting him out of the shot as much as possible. Someone also noticed that the singer wasn't actually holding a microphone and it was in-fact a wire.

Comments about the editing and camera work were good. The editing links all the clips seamlessly although there are some choppy cuts around the gaps. I am already working in amending this. The camera movement during the performance section was very conventional and the steady shots during the narrative show good camera control.

The narrative was very easy to understand with the dark themes linking well to the genre
